Bay Skincare Owner Interview with Suzanne Dang

Hi Bay Babes, recently I had the pleasure of being interview by Suzanne Dang.

Suzanne is an Australian-Vietnamese fashion and mental health blogger residing in Brisbane, Australia. She blogs about mental health recovery, art, pageantry and Bipolar awareness.

Here is a sneak peek into our interview, if you want to read the whole chat, head to Suzanne's blog post here!

SD: Hi Kristy. Can you introduce yourself to my readers who don't know you yet?

KS: My name is Kristy, I’m 27, I live in Brisbane with my Husband, and I am the Owner of Bay Skincare. I am a homebody and love nothing more than spending time at home with my pets, plants, and a good book. I also LOVE Skincare!

SD: What was the process of starting your own brand like? KS: It was a slow process, there is a lot of trial and error from formulating the products, running trials, and finally launching to the public. Taking the leap was scary but it is one of the most exciting and rewarding things I’ve done. It’s been quite the journey and we still have so far to go.

SD: Talk us through your skincare routine.

KS: In the morning I wash my face with our Mango Milk Cleanser & Microfibre Facial Puff. Then I use the Watermelon Renewal Serum, Energised Toning Mist and Watermelon Sorbet Moisturiser and then SPF of course! In the evening I double cleanse and apply my Firming Eye Serum. Then I use Seabuckthorn Oil which I massage in and leave to sink in for a moment. I reach for our Sweet Berry Jam if I feel like a need a little more moisture.

I don’t have a lot of congestion in my skin, but once a week I’ll use our Pineapple Enzyme Peel to remove dead skin cells and clean out my pores. SD: What have been the hurdles you’ve experienced throughout your career?

KS: I am a bit of a perfectionist so I tend to sit on tasks longer than I should because I don’t want to go ahead until everything is perfect! Sometimes I need to just trust in my own abilities and go with the flow.
